Anna Friemond

Dear Anna, when I moved back to America after four of the best years of my life, I spoke and wrote German better than English. Sadly, that is no longer the case, but my memories of those years with you and my classmates have stayed with me always. I followed your example to become a teacher, and you are a model for me in all of my teaching days. Reading Sabine’s note, I am reminded that you wrote the same in my Poesiebuch- Das Lacheln das Du aussendst, kehrt zu Dir zuruck. I am so happy to be reminded of that. Know that your family, friends, and many students over the years enjoyed your smiles and guidance, smile warmly to think of you now, and will always bring your spirit back to our own families and, for some, our own students.
