Remembering our dear friend Sybina. We would be very glad to know what happened as she did not reply to our emails last year and eventually we found this memorial page. Very much missed.

We had tried to get in touch with Sybina for the past couple of months, as we did not receive our usual Christmas card. We tried again to get in touch as today would have been her birthday. Our daughter who is more computer savvy researched for us this morning just incase there was something in the local newspapers in Koln. We are very saddened to discover the passing of our dear friend. Sybina referred to Ernie as her "Younger Brother" and her "Irish Family" and we have maintained contact since we first met Richard and Sybina at our engagement party in Haarlem in 1978. They came to visit us in Ireland and Ernie visited Sybina in her home only a few years ago - 2019.
We are so very shocked and saddened to find this notice the passing of our dear friend and family member.
Please let us know if there is an online link to a remembrance mass to mark the first anniversary ~ Ernie & Susanna Sweeney, Castlebar, Ireland

I shared digs with Richard Richter for a year at Bristol university. He went to London before returning to Germany and he worked in the Lyons Tea rooms which is where he met Sybina. So very sad to learn about Sybina. I attended their golden wedding anniversary celebrations a few years ago and they looked after me very well. I last saw Sybina and Richard in Kent when they were over here a few years ago. Deepest condolences.

I'd be very grateful to know what happened to Sybina, a close family friend. We had hoped to visit her in July but no reply. Devastated to find this page. Sybina gave so much to her students and her beloved husband Richard.
